Lord Ferrister’s World – The Radio Show – Part One Preview

Oh those happy radio days with Tommy Handley, Ted Ray, Arthur Askey and from America through the Forces Broadcasts; the peerless Jack Benny with Rochester and Mary Livingstone.

My favourite though was Children’s Hour with Uncle Mac; a show of our own where we knew that Mr. Grouser and Larry the Lamb would be there waiting the following week after school.

Gone forever? No not quite, because through lordferristerbooks and the magic of Lord Ferrister’steam driven generator and transmitter, we are turning back the clock with our radio show “Lord Ferrister’s World.”

Just click on that lovely old wireless set for a preview as we present Part One of the first show.

I think I ‘ll try it myself.

Lord Ferrister’s World – The Radio Show

Cherished images by 10-year old Nicole.

Yes indeed, The lordferristerbooks bandwagon gathers momentum thanks to the continued support from my long time and valued friends Norman and Jill Jones – those hard-working entrepreneurs whose client portfolio now embraces  the Globe. Just take a look here for a sample of what’s on offer.

The start of the Lord Ferrister’s World radio show will coincide with the production of the second edition of Book I, Lord Ferrister Finds  a Circus.

Our talented friend Jill Jones is providing a beautiful new cover design that will be used with colour variations on each of the four current Lord Ferrister books and beyond. Here is a sneak preview of  Jill’s new cover  whilst at the top of the page are cherished cover images created in an afternoon here by my by then 10-year old granddaughter Nicole.

Thanks Nicole, your designs will live on too on bookshelves around the world, including mine.

Our show will come from the studio at Ferrister Hall, in the heart of rural England and will be the type of good old radio show that provides a safe and happy place for children and their parents to visit.

No monsters, magic, gnomes, goblins , hysterical presenters or endless music here, nor anything scary; just friendship and fun and the opportunity for children to have their own stories, poems or even plays broadcast.

The Ferrister Hall Players will be on hand to do the acting and I will do the presenting.

Watch out for more news of the radio show and the new editions from lordferristerbooks.

Sometime soon we will feature some work by my singer-songwriter Grandson Andy Pink, a star in the making.
